sry guys... weeks since i last updated my blog... been having a super busy week... practically having training every single day... onli rest on sundays sia... but our hard work had paid off...
YEAH!!! NJC TT ROCKS!!!
last tuesday, 3 may, against TJ in the semis.. dun wanna talk much bout this la... won 4-1 but everyone was kinda pissed la... especially HY... but nvm... its over le anyway...finals to play against RJ!!! Jason Ho would be back!! >.<
from then onwards ah boon decided on training every day after school... having two periods on fri and sat... throughout the whole week, everyone concentrated hard!! we treated every single training seriously... even though the reserves are not needed to, all of us still trained together as a team... T.E.A.M!!! helped to be 'wall' and trained the doubles... this week passed so quickly just like that... as days pass, finals is approaching... however, everyone became so bonded in a short time! we did everything as a team! be it shopping for track suits, having meals... u would see the whole team there!!! in addition, we came out with so many cheers... i felt a deep sense of belonging to the team... hope this will carry on... the NJ TT team SPIRIT!!!
~~ni qi, wo qi, ta qi, ni men qi, wo men qi, da jia qi!!!~~**some rap made by reuben for Ni Qi... lolx... cool... :)
tuesday, 10 mAy... Day of showdown!!that morning everyone skipped class... could tell everyone was very anxious and excited... rested in the media resource room... all of us were so restless and ~high~... especially ah boon... jumped and danced around the whole room... we all had fun bullying han yang too... :P went to toa payoh sports hall at 11.30 to warm up... could see everyone are getting nervous le... nonetheless the first team ppl warmed up at the available tables... at around 1p.m, NJC supporters started streaming in... total of 10 bus loads of NJCians = 400++ ppl!!! they cheered us on even before the start of match!! we were very touched by the support given to us...all of us rush to look at the line up when the umpire brought to the table... everyone were anticipating... although we have a higher chance of wining, lousy line-ups may just turn the table against us... but luckily, it was not too bad! :)
1st single: han yang VS Han Ting 1st double: samuel, henry VS Zhao han pair 2nd single: Ni Qi Vs Jason Ho 2nd double: Fabian, reuben VS Nicholas pair 3rd single: Fei Sheng Hua VS Boon Kiak
first match was already so exciting... han yang did his best and was quite on form... although he lost his first set, he fought back hard and won the second set... however, losing both the third and fourth sets... nobody blamed him... could tell he had done his best but he is just not able to win han ting... Great fight anyway!!!
first doubles... ah boon and samuel won 3-0 straight... everyone just seem to be at their top form! samuel managed to 'gao diao' and 'la' most of the balls in!! Ah boon even better... won most of the points... his attacks are just to fierce...the highlight of the day!!
2nd single: Ni Qi vs Jason Hoomg... heartthrobbing match i must say... Ni Qi was like complete owning jason in the first set... jason's defensive chop is just not good enough for NI qi... second set, ni qi led 6 - 2... but lost a bit of confidence and lost that set... what a pity... third set jason won again... forth set ni qi fought back... he made sure of the timings and his leg positions... ensuring that all his attack will go in!! he succeeded and won it... last set, could tell ni qi was lagging behind le, trying hard to keep hard... maybe lacking of stamina... jason attacked and won that match... nut overally its was a spectacular match!! Under 19 champ against under 17 champ lo...
fabian and reuben doubles performed superbly!! easily won nicholas doubles in straight 3-0!!must say this is their match match ever since nationals had ever started!! :P
2 - 2... last deciding match... fei sheng hua against boon kiak... as usual, fei sheng hua had his cool look and made it look easy... became the hero of the day by winning boon kiak 3-1!! when he won his match, all of us jumped in joy!!! all my years playing table tennins... first time getting C.H.A.M.P.I.O.N!!! wahahaz!!!
overall, NJC won RJC 3 - 2!!!
~~~ C H A M P I O N ~~~
all our hard work had paid off!! just so overjoyed!!! won RJC even though there's jason ho!! no words could ever decribe our extreme happiness that day!! went to Katong to celebrate over a steamboat dinner!!! :)
Now that the tournament period is over... its time for mi to start catching up le... missed so many lessons because of the tournament... haiz...
